Serenity Home Services is a therapeutic children’s home dedicated to supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to work alongside the Home Manager in leading our dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of care for the young people in our home.
As Deputy Manager, you will take a key leadership role in the operational, administrative, and care functions of the home. You will act as a role model for the team, driving a child-centred culture, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and helping to create an environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and educationally.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

In this role, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, including compliance with all safeguarding and regulatory requirements. You will oversee staff performance, provide guidance and supervision, and take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Manager. You will also be actively involved in the care of the children, helping to shape their individual care plans and supporting their personal development.

  • Liaise effectively with external agencies, professionals, families, and schools.
  • Promote a therapeutic and nurturing environment that supports children’s emotional wellbeing and behavioural development.

  • Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Contribute to rota planning, recruitment, and staff training.
