Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to work at our home in South-Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with varying needs, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary to enhance their quality of life. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and team members. To promote the welfare, safety, personal development and well-being of young people being cared for by this organisation who specialises with 2 x Children with Learning Disabilities between the ages of 5-18.

  • To ensure that the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the young people are met where at all possible.
  • To participate in the day-to-day operation of the service provided in accordance with the organisational guidelines and objectives.
  • To create within the home, a normal domestic and nurturing environment for the young people in Vitality care.
  • Within this leadership role you will be responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, and ensuring that placement plans are followed and education is supported.
  • Interact and engage in visual and over the phone contact for the young people with families.

  • To assist with the day-to-day administration of the home by completing and maintaining accurate recordings.

  • Record and administer medication.
  • You need to have a driving licence.
  • Be over the age of 21.

REQUIREMENTS

  • To hold Diploma Level 3 for Children’s and Young People’s Workforce (Social Care Pathway) or equivalent children’s home qualification.
  • To have a minimum of 2 year’s residential experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
  • Admin Day provided on a weekly basis to facilitate role.
  • You will be required to start at 7.00am until 22.00 and work on a two on four off pattern where possible. You will be required to sleep in the home overnight as and when required.
  • Full UK Driver’s Licence
