OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our new team in providing exceptional care within our two-bedroom residential home in Corby. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care home management, with experience in Autism and learning disability. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing our new home. Duties will include supervising staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of care for the young people within our service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a senior care environment, preferably within a Children’s home or similar setting.
  • Clear understanding of Ofsted Care standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans based on individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care are desirable.
  • A compassionate approach towards individuals and their families.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted’s regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to young people, including those with Autism and complex needs.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each young person’s requirements.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions as required.
  • Foster a positive environment that promotes the young person’s well-being and dignity.
  • Conduct regular assessments of care practices and make necessary adjustments to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for young people.
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role due to occasional travel requirements
