Job Title: Deputy Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Home
Location: Nottinghamshire (NG13 area)
Salary: £32,448 – £36,400

Shift Pattern:

  • 2-week rolling rota: 2 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next
  • Shifts are 8:00am to 11:00pm with a paid sleep-in at £70 per night
  • Includes 4–6 sleep-ins per month

REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
  • 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour support, and trauma-informed practice
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
    About the Role: An outstanding therapeutic provider in Nottinghamshire is seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to help lead one of their highly-rated children’s homes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that specialises in trauma-informed care for children aged 5–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide consistent, therapeutic leadership to a dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and compliance
  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care using models such as PACE and DDP
  • Oversee staff supervision, rota planning, and professional development
  • Ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are upheld at all times
  • Contribute to care planning and ensure the home environment promotes stability, recovery, and growth.
