Description

Responsibilities

lead shifts (incl. evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, on-call) and office-based planning, QA, and staff development
Deputise for the Registered Manager – full responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and decision-making when required
Coach and supervise the team; embed therapeutic practice and champion each young person’s voice
Oversee rotas, staffing levels, and budgets; manage petty cash and resources
Drive quality assurance – audits, Ofsted readiness, action plans
Coordinate referrals, admissions, and robust care-plan matching
Build positive links with families, social workers, schools, and external professionals
Administer and audit medication safely
Lead recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff
Keep the home safe, homely, and fully compliant
Handle any reasonable task that keeps the home running smoothly
