Description

Flexible: Either Full-Time / Permanent or Part-time/Job Share
We are looking for a warm and kind-hearted practitioner to become part of a lovely team of professionals who have a proven track record in excellent early years education for children.
We are seeking a good-natured, conscientious, enthusiastic, and emotionally intelligent Early Years Deputy Manager to take part in the daily operation of the nursery, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment to ensure that every child feels valued and supported. The ideal candidate will have a desire to make a positive impact and be passionate about a nature-focused environment, eager to create enriching outdoor learning experiences for young children. The nursery is inspired by the Forest School ethos, and a big chunk of time each day is spent outside in our large natural garden.
We are hiring for a person with a caring, patient, and warm approach, who will help to maintain a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment for all. This unique nursery runs with lots of voluntary support from parents, so someone who is interested in and good at fostering relationships with fellow staff, children and parents alike will fit this role well.
The independent nature of Collingham makes it the perfect place to develop exciting new projects and approaches, suiting someone industrious and imaginative, with the full support of the voluntary management committee. As a small, non-corporate nursery, you will have a wide remit to develop imaginative new projects and ideas. We want this to be a wonderful place to work, and are keen to provide staff with opportunities for growth.
If you are ready for a new challenge and want to make a difference in a progressive, nature-based setting, apply now and become a part of our unique Collingham community!

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Level 3 or above Childcare NVQ, or equivalent qualification. We will also consider applications from people who are in the process of getting qualified that can be counted in the ratio.
  • Previous experience working with early years children.
  • Good knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding policies.
  • Proactive, punctual, reliable and kind.
  • Friendly and approachable, enjoys working with a team.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Fluent English.
