Job Description The Fixed Assets Lead is responsible for managing, controlling, and optimizing the end-to-end fixed assets lifecycle within SAP ERP (FI-AA module). This includes asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Fixed Assets Management Oversee complete asset lifecycle: Asset creation, capitalization, retirement, and transfer Ensure correct asset classification and tagging Manage depreciation runs (monthly, quarterly, yearly)Maintain asset register and reconciliation with General Ledger (GL)Prepare and review: Fixed asset schedules Depreciation reports Capital WIP reports Ensure compliance with :IFRS / GAAP / IND-AS (as applicable)Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits. Ensure proper documentation and audit trails. Establish and monitor internal controls for asset management. Lead process improvements and automation initiatives. Ensure adherence to SOX/internal control frameworks (if applicable)Standardize asset accounting practices across entities. Partner with business teams on Cap. Ex planning and tracking. Monitor budgets vs actuals for asset purchases Handle Asset Under Construction (AUC) accounting Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI-AA module Good understanding of: SAP GL integration Asset accounting configurations Knowledge of: Depreciation areas Asset classes Capital Work in Progress (CWIP/AUC) Qualifications Commerce Graduate
