Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Basingstoke part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for a Deputy Manager, with Level 3 or above in Early Years to join our team. You’ll be working hard to care for, support, share a story or two, and have fun to meet the needs of our children.

As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and curriculum delivery. You’ll inspire and mentor staff, build strong relationships with families, and champion best practices in early years development.

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)
  • Proven leadership experience in a nursery or childcare setting
  • A strong commitment to quality, safety, and child-centred care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the nursery.
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff.
  • Support, supervise, train, and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
  • Support the Nursery Manager to identify training needs; develop training plans and evaluate training undertaken by staff.
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in delivering agreed occupancy targets.
  • Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in ensuring that all complaints and concerns are actively resolved in a timely manner and that these are reported to the Regional Manager.
