Proving quality, frontline care and support in our care homes, nursing homes and supported living services is at the very core of what we do. Our approach is based on the promotion of greater independence and choice for the people who we support, working with over 1,600 people with a disability every day.

  • Night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Deputy Manager with Leonard Cheshire, you will fully support the Service Manager in the running of the care home and deputise in their absence. Providing effective management and supervision of a great team, you will lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run. You will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
Responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support to our customers, you will promote independence and choice. You will ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations with excellent overall service delivery.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 leadership in Health and Social Care qualification).
  • Experience in managing a team of support staff.
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care.
  • Experience of working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours.
