DEPUTY MANAGER – CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SERVICE (LEARNING DISABILITIES)

Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Permanent | Shift-based including evenings and weekends

REQUIREMENTS

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (Level 5 desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
  • Strong understanding of learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our children’s residential service in Ashford, supporting children with learning disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment for young people with complex needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers
  • Ensure care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed
  • Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic and educational support
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards and safeguarding protocols
  • Participate in on-call duties and assist with rota planning
