Oliphant & Pomeroy is looking to recruit a first-class Deputy Manager to run our brand new parlour-bakery café in Covent Garden, due to open shortly.
The role will involve managing a service team. Organising, motivating and training team members to maintain an exceptional level of customer service, efficiency and communication of company values. The successful candidate will also be a participant in the performance review process of individuals and the scheduling of weekly staff rotas.
Additional responsibilities will include organisational/administrative duties such as the management of stock levels, overseeing storage efficiency on site, updating paperwork and monitoring health and hygiene practices.
Our Deputy Manager would be expected to provide support to the Manager as an assistant, be business-minded, meeting and communicating regularly with the business owners and other stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the company when needed and identifying commercial opportunities when they arise.
A successful candidate will also expected to regularly and actively work on site, making exceptional coffee, serving our award-winning ice cream, baking our award-winning Cinnamon Buns and ensuring all customers have a happy and positive experience whilst visiting our café, leading by example at all times.
Candidates should be hard-working, reliable and willing to work flexible hours.
Ideal candidates would already have an excellent knowledge of food hygiene and allergen regulations. Barista training would also be an advantage, but training will be given in all cases.
Our prospective Deputy Manager will also be incentivised through a performance bonus.

Pay: £34,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
