Description
Accountabilities Major Activities Planning and Execution of preventive maintenance ▪ Plan for scheduled maintenance based on maintenance schedule/TSA agreement/OEM recommendations in co-ordination withNLDC / beneficiaries/third party O&M service agency/otherutilities. ▪ Co-ordinate with NLDC and other utility to avail plannedshutdown. ▪ Execute planned preventive maintenance activities as perprescribed schedule and procedure. ▪ Supervision of jobs and documentation in maintenance system. Head - Operations (Transmission) Deputy General Manager -Operations (Transmission) Deputy Manager - Operations (Transmission) 2 ▪ Manage O&M Contractor’s team for routine patrolling work and rectifying the defects. ▪ Operate the Mobile App/Software for recording the defects. ▪ Ensure healthiness of equipment and complete the work in accordance with standard operating / maintenance practice. ▪ Identify the problem and take remedial actions to make equipment available in shortest possible time. ▪ Assess root cause of failure. Prepare failure analysis report and submit to the superiors. ▪ The main objective is to avoid availability loss, repetitive failure and damage to equipment. Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Breakdown Maintenance ▪ Identify the problem and take remedial actions to make equipment available in shortest possible time. ▪ Assess root cause of failure. Prepare failure analysis report and submit to the superiors. ▪ Direct the O&M Contractor’s team for corrective action. ▪ The main objective is to avoid availability loss, repetitive failure and damage to equipment. Condition Monitoring/Outage Management ▪ Maintain the equipment like (High Voltage Detector kit, Tower Footing Resistance kit, Thermography Camera, Elcometer, etc.) in healthy working status. ▪ Supervise maintenance of instruments and testing kits and their calibration as per standard. Maintain all test results for easy access and retrieval. ▪ Plan outage activities in advance. Coordinate to receive material and man power on time. Ensure job execution as per schedule and make equipment available as per deadline given by NLDC/authority. ▪ Ensure smooth execution of outage in accordance with plan and submit daily/weekly report to superior for information. Also, prepare and submit outage report with details of spare and service consumption, cost etc. ▪ Periodically review modification/ change requirement. ▪ The main objective is to avoid availability loss, repetitive failure and damage to equipment. Operation Management ▪ Supervise day-to-day operation of transmission line by providing direction to contractor’s team for routine maintenance. ▪ Ensure transmission line rounds at defined interval and identify defects. Also ensure that all defects are log into Oracle/ computerized maintenance system and attended by maintenance staff. ▪ Train contract staff for Apraava Energy safety rule & permit-to -work system and ensure that all permits /isolations are carried out in accordance with laid down procedure only. ▪ Prepare Emergency crisis plan and provide training to all staff members enabling them to counter any emergency /crisis situations. ▪ Ensure the team understand and adhere to MCPs & SOPs. Inventory Management ▪ Review of inventory at regular interval. Ensure O&M Spares as per CEA guidelines are available at respective stores. ▪ Estimate spare requirement for routine maintenance and outages. 3 ▪ Initiate procurement process. Evaluate technical quotations and recommend correct technical spares and consumable required at site. ▪ Initiate new item codification with sufficient technical information. ▪ Inspect the incoming spare/ consumable for its correct specification defined in purchase order. ▪ Maintain store with material code for each spares/ consumable and have proper stacking/storing arrangement. ▪ Ultimate objective is to organize spare on time and make them available for planned and unplanned maintenance. Service tie-ups for equipment maintenance ▪ Prepare scope of work for related service. Initiate service request. Provide all technical details to commercial / Vendor as per Apraava Energy with vendor and ensure timely execution of work. ▪ Evaluate service quotations/vendors technically. Co-ordinate with vendor and ensure timely execution of work. ▪ Identify and engage local transport and material handing agencies and enter into rate agreement for hiring services. ▪ The above activities to be performed in order to ensure timely avail quality services for maintenance. Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) Management ▪ Formulate detailed scope of work for annual maintenance contract with defined service requirement, manpower number and competencies. Clearly define performance criteria and measurement mechanism to evaluate same on monthly basis. ▪ Monitor safety & quality compliances at site as per contract and relevant Apraava Energy standard guidelines. ▪ Counsel and train contractor to maintain Apraava Energy standard. ▪ Monitor execution of assigned job regularly. ▪ Ensure KPI’s to be strictly follow at site. Review KPI’s periodically and endorse monthly invoices. ▪ Review AMC contract on yearly basis to accommodate any changes. ▪ The Ultimate objective of this activity is to meet contract manpower requirement to perform O&M job with safety & required quality as per Apraava Energy standard. HSSE Management ▪ Prepare site specific HSSE objective & target in alignment with functional Objective & targets. Undertake awareness session with contract staff to appraise about HSSE objective & target for its fully compliance. ▪ Conduct Tool box talks, meeting with AMC partners and other service provider. ▪ Contribute in preparation of Risk assessment and MCP. Produce JSEAS for all maintenance activities. ▪ Conduct site rounds and monitor SHE compliances during the job and identify gaps. ▪ Prepare list of all statutory site requirement and ensure compliance. ▪ Contribute in internal & external audits. ▪ Establish positive and healthy HSSE culture at site through awareness, training and promotion. ▪ HSSE management is one of prime responsibility and must be followed religiously. 4 Report and Data management ▪ Prepare daily, monthly and yearly O&M report and sent to superiors/ other agencies as per direction. ▪ Inspect daily log book, O&M records and validate same. ▪ Identify the structure and requirement for appropriate documentation system. Maintain the adequate record of technical & statutory data in the DMS System including invoices. ▪ Maintaining the ROW record for the Asset. ▪ Prepare site level asset register. Set up the regular verification of the identified asset and its preservation plan. ▪ Prepare MIS and timely submission to management. ▪ Prepare calibration schedule of all tariff meter and testing equipment. ▪ Prepare provisional revenue of Transmission Asst. ▪ Prepare outage and transmission availability of Transmission Asst. and submit to concerned Authorities. ▪ Prepare MTC and YTC of Transmission Asset and submit to concerned Authorities. Also look after the corresponding with CTU/PGCIL/ NLDC/POSOCO for proper communications
Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor the health and performance of transmission assets in accordance with O&M schedules and TSA agreements. Manage contractors, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure strict adherence to HSSE standards and statutory requirements.
