Description
Responsibilities: Developing a safe working environment. Quality control of processes and products. Planning and execution of developmental work. Planning and execution of cost reduction of products. Handling inspection of finished goods. Control on incoming raw materials and timely evaluation. Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment. Reduction in quality complaints of products. Customization of products. Customer/ supplier visit. Adherence to ISO, QMS and Calderys systems. Coordination with Marketing / R & D / Project /Application and Supply Chain. Training subordinates and monitoring their performance. Requirements: Essential: B.Tech - Ceramic Minimum 2-5 years of Experience in quality control activities of a refractory monolithics/brick industry. Preferred: Knowledge in ceramics and refractories. Knowledge in various refractory testing and characterization techniques. Analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Knowledge in mineralogy, crystallography and phase diagrams. Knowledge in refractory property–performance correlation and refractory installation. Hands-on experience in various testing and characterization methods pertaining to refractories.
