Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Deputy Manager supports the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home, assuming responsibility during periods of absence. You will lead and supervise the care team, uphold safeguarding practice, ensure compliance with Ofsted expectations, and maintain a therapeutic and child-centred approach. You will model best practice, support audits, help drive continuous improvement, and promote the well-being and development of children in our care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCHILDCARE PROVISION

· Ensure every child’s care plan is implemented, monitored, and regularly reviewed.
· Champion children’s rights and participation in line with Regulation 7.
· Promote education, health, emotional wellbeing, and independence skills.
· Ensure a consistent therapeutic approach is applied using PACE or similar models.
· Work in partnership with families, local authorities, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
· Take lead in key working responsibilities, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans.
· Ensure all children are safeguarded in accordance with legislation and internal policy.
