This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Manager, where you’ll help deliver positive outcomes for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We are looking for someone committed and enthusiastic, who starts each day with the intention of making a meaningful impact.

REQUIREMENTS – YOU MUST:

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People or Children and Young People’s Workforce), or an equivalent qualification suitable for children’s residential units.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential care setting or similar residential service.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience managing a team or teams within a care environment.
  • Be able to communicate effectively—both in writing and verbally.
  • Display confidence, professionalism, and the ability to inspire and influence others.
  • Demonstrate a clear passion and commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Uphold compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in managing the home and ensuring care is delivered in line with the Statement of Purpose, relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the assessment of individual needs and help secure appropriate resources and support, enabling young people to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff, encouraging them to bring their authentic selves to work.
  • Take responsibility for running the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, including participation in the on-call rota.
  • Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with young people, treating them with dignity at all times.
  • Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, and cultural needs of the young people in your care.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and clear record-keeping at all times.
  • Regularly review the needs of young people and ensure the appropriate support is in place.
  • Contribute actively to the growth, development, and cohesion of the team.
If you are passionate about changing lives, committed to high standards, and ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
