JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a senior care environment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our care home, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a senior care setting such as assisted living, nursing home, or home care is essential.
  • Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to manage individualised resident needs effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams within a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • A relevant qualification in health or social care is desirable but not mandatory.
  • A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager in the overall management of the care home, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Foster a positive environment for both residents and staff by promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and ensure appropriate care plans are implemented and followed.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to resident care is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle any complaints or concerns from residents or their families promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in training and development programmes for staff to enhance their skills in senior care practices.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
