JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager/Room Leader to join our team in a vibrant care home setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of our assisted living facility, ensuring high standards of care for our residents, particularly those with dementia. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home or assisted living environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and the development of care plans for seniors.
  • Experience in senior care, particularly with residents who have dementia, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff alike.
  • A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous.
  • Experience with SENCO
  • Level 5 qualified with minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Level 3 qualified with 5 years of Leadership experience will also be welcomed

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of residents, focusing on medication administration and overall well-being.
  • Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly, ensuring that all aspects of senior care are addressed effectively.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage to meet the needs of residents at all times.
  • Engage with families and external stakeholders to promote transparency and build trust within the community.
  • Lead training sessions on dementia care and other relevant topics to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and compliance with health regulations.
