Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children’s Homes
Location: Newark, Nottingham
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 base with £62.64 per sleep, bringing potential salary to £38,516
Working Hours: Full-time, including weekends (according to shift and rota system)
Number of Sleeps Required: Regular sleep-in duties as scheduled - Working a typical 2 on 4 off at approximately 10 sleeps per month
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: YPs, specific needs and personal plans
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma – Residential Care or NVQ 3 – Caring for Children and Young People
Experience Required: At least 1 year’s experience or equivalent of work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

An experienced, dedicated Deputy Homes Manager to ensure the team delivers the highest quality care and therapeutic support to young people. We are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual who can provide support to both the young people and the care team, including management responsibilities when required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This role may involve working across different homes within the organisation to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care, supervision, and support for young people, including key worker responsibilities.
  • Lead the daily management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Support and manage staff, assisting in recruitment and training as needed.
  • Ensure all entries in young people’s records, diaries, and reports comply with company policies.
  • Maintain vigilance for Health and Safety concerns and adhere to safeguarding policies.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, professional supervision, and regular appraisals.
