Through compassionate care, individualised support, and strong relationships, we help young people build confidence, resilience, and brighter futures.
We are now looking for an experienced, motivated Deputy Manager to join our team, supporting the successful running of our residential home and making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.
About the Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you will support young people with all aspects of daily life within our home, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and empowered. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates to the highest standards, providing leadership and guidance to the team while upholding our values and commitment to outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in partnership with the Registered Manager to oversee all aspects of the home’s operation, including safeguarding, quality assurance, compliance, and financial planning.
  • Leading, inspiring, and motivating the team, providing effective supervision, performance appraisals, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Taking responsibility for the home’s daily operations in the absence of the Registered Manager, with support from the wider company team and Responsible Individuals.
  • Stepping up to oversee the home when required, ensuring consistency, high standards of care, and smooth operations with guidance and support available from senior leaders.
  • Ensuring the home provides a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
  • Managing health and safety processes, ensuring risk assessments, staff training, and compliance measures are in place and adhered to.
  • Building positive relationships with external professionals, contributing to care planning, reviews, and meetings to ensure individual needs are met.
  • Acting as a role model, promoting positive behaviour, independence, and resilience in young people.
  • Ensuring safeguarding is prioritised and consistently embedded in daily practice.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and empowering them to shape their own futures, we would love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Full UK driving licence - essential for transporting young people to appointments and activities.
✅ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential.
✅ At least 1 year’s experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker (or equivalent) in a children’s home setting.
✅ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, develop, and inspire a team.
✅ A positive role model who can build trusting relationships with both young people and staff.
✅ Genuine care, compassion, and commitment to supporting looked-after children.
✅ Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.
