• Strong knowledge of early years frameworks and best practice in child development, safeguarding, and health and safety.
• Effective communication skills for working with children, colleagues, and families, including the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring team members, supporting performance management, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly to changing needs in a busy environment.
• Comfort with basic administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, completing reports, and using nursery management or office software.
• Up-to-date enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain), ongoing commitment to safeguarding, and openness to continued training and professional development.
