Job Title: Deputy Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Edgewing) Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role. Job Description: In this role, you will support the development and evolution of Manufacturing Engineering capability within the Edgewing joint venture, helping to shape ways of working, frameworks and operational approaches across a complex multinational programme. Working closely with stakeholders across partner organisations, you will help establish effective Manufacturing Engineering processes, support cross-functional collaboration and contribute to the transition towards an Edgewing-led operating model. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building new capability within a growing and evolving environment. Core duties: Support the development and implementation of Manufacturing Engineering frameworks, processes and ways of working Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Edgewing and partner organisations Help coordinate Manufacturing Engineering activities across multiple teams and subject areas Support the development of Manufacturing Engineering toolsets, processes and capability improvements Contribute to planning, scheduling and risk management activities across the programme Help ensure an integrated and consistent approach across Manufacturing Engineering functions Support the transition towards an Edgewing-led Manufacturing Engineering organisation Contribute to embedding new frameworks and operational approaches into the wider team Essential Skills: Proven experience working with Manufacturing Engineering digital toolsets, systems or platforms within complex engineering or industrial environments Knowledge and experience of developing, refining and managing Manufacturing Engineering frameworks Experience working across large, complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements Knowledge and experience of scheduling, planning and risk management activities Broad understanding of the engineering lifecycle The Edgewing Team: By joining Edgewing, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the company from the ground up — setting the foundations for generations to come, influencing how we work, and helping us build something world-class together.
