Clinical Leadership Opportunity – Deputy Medical Director
Surgical Centre, Portsmouth & PPG Southampton
Practice Plus Group invites applications for a Deputy Medical Director role within our Surgical Centre in Portsmouth and PPG Southampton. This is a unique chance to join the senior management team (SMT) and help shape the clinical strategy across two dynamic sites.
You will work closely with the Medical Director for South Coast Hospital, Justin Vale, to lead service transformation, enhance clinical standards, and develop the medical workforce. As a key member of the SMT, you will influence operational, financial, and cultural performance, ensuring outstanding patient care and professional practice.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In this role you will support Justin to provide highly visible and inspiring clinical leadership for all staff throughout Practice Plus Group, championing a professional and open culture which empowers staff to consistently deliver high quality care with compassion. Supporting a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined and diverse clinical workforce to work as a cohesive operational group delivering first class treatments to patients.
You will be a key member of the senior management team of the Hospital and will provide the medical leadership delivering safe, efficient and reliable patient care to ensure that the standards set out within the contract are achieved and that the operational team works towards continuous quality improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver clinical leadership and governance, chairing quality and governance meetings.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Drive service development and integration between Portsmouth and Southampton sites.
Oversee risk management, clinical standards compliance, and staff performance.
Support private patient pathway growth and contribute to commercial success.
