Description

To support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, safety, and well-being for all children. The Deputy Manager will act as the Manager in their absence and assist in staff supervision, curriculum planning, and regulatory compliance.

3. CHILDCARE & EDUCATION

  • Support and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the individual needs of all children in line with the EYFS.
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s development, contributing to individual learning plans and reviews.
  • Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs, ensuring interventions and support plans are in place.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early years setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Safeguarding training (Level 2 or 3 desirable).

    Please note the role of the Deputy Nursery Manager for Dagenham is Term Time Only. During the holidays the Deputy will work at our sister site in Barking. The role is full time 40 hours per week, with an annual salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience
