JOB OVERVIEW

In this role, you’ll lead practice within your room while supporting the wider nursery team to provide the highest standards of care and education. You’ll act as a role model for staff, ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements, and help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.

DEPUTY ROLE – ROOM BASED (2-3 YEAR OLD ROOM).

We are looking for a passionate and experienced deputy to take on a room-based leadership role in a busy nursery setting. The nursery cares for up to 86 children and is running at near full occupancy, supported by an incredibly approachable and supportive manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead your room team to deliver high-quality learning and care.
• Support staff development, training, and daily practice.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents through clear and positive communication.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards.
• Contribute to planning and delivering engaging educational activities.
• Support with rotas, ratios, and room organisation.
• Complete observations, assessments, and accurate record-keeping.
