Description

Kangaroo Pouch Willenhall, is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager. This position involves acting as second-in-charge to the manager and assuming the managerial role in the absence of the manager. This job would be ideal for candidates with strong experience in a senior role and who can step up into the Manager’s role where needed. The ideal candidate will have maintained or achieved high standards with experience of leading a team and being part of a team.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent staff management skills
  • GCSE A-C in English and Maths
  • An excellent understanding of child development and EYFS
  • Flexibility and good time management is key to this role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and initiative

You must have experience with dealing with external agencies and have a firm understanding and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how this is put into practice.

This Deputy Nursery Manager position will also require you to be able demonstrate the following:-

  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Experience of working to and delivering EYFS
  • The ability to deliver high standards of care and education
  • Imagination and enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation

You will support the Nursery Manager in suitably equipping the Nursery to provide a high quality, practical and welcoming learning environment.
You will need to be focused, proactive and confident, committed to high standards of care and in promoting a warm and supportive environment.
You must enjoy being a hands on team leader.
