Schedule: 4 days per week (permanent)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Experience level: Senior Practitioner / Deputy Manager level or equivalent leadership role

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to help lead our passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step into a senior role and make a meaningful impact on both children and staff.
You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain high standards, support staff development, and ensure compliance with CIW regulations, while fostering an environment where children thrive through exploration, creativity, and play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting day-to-day running of the nursery alongside the Manager
  • Leading and mentoring staff, conducting observations and supervisions
  • Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing practices
  • Building strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Supporting the development of an exciting, natural, and play-based curriculum

About You:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a senior practitioner or deputy in a nursery setting
  • Confident in leading a team and passionate about high-quality early years practice
  • Knowledge of CIW frameworks and curriculum for non-maintained settings
  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
