Description

Responsibilities:
- To support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
-To oversee and manage the Under 3’s department.
-To provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for babies ,toddlers and 2’s to learn grow and flourish.
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote development in the prime areas of the EYFS
-Support, encourage and develop the team in the Under 3’s department through effective leadership and guidance.
-Maintain a happy, caring environment where staff across both areas are engaged and interacting with their key children.
- Use iConnect to oversee keypersons observations and assessments of children’s progress. Provide guidance to keypersons with their activities and assessments.
- Support keypersons with handovers and provide effective daily communication to parents/guardians.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, progress, and any incidents
Experience:
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification
- Previous experience working with Under 3’s at room leader level in a day nursery setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt care routines and teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
-Leadership skills to ensure that all key persons are providing excellent levels of care and interaction
