Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Phlebotomy Manager to support the Phlebotomy Manager at ENHT in the operational management of the phlebotomy department. Focusing on our acute sites of Lister, New Queen Elizabeth 2nd , and Hertford County Hospital.
Lead and manage a team of phlebotomists providing guidance, support, leadership, and training.
To support Phlebotomy manager with HR duties to include:
Sickness Management
Recruitment and retention
Appraisals
Disciplinary
Mandatory Training
Effective communication with service users and stake holders.
First line management for queries/complaints and advice.
Day to day supervision of Phlebotomy team to include producing phlebotomy rotas.
Monitor and maintain departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
