HOME MANAGER - CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SERVICE - GILLINGHAM

Our client is looking for a child focused Registered Children’s Home Manager to run their 2-bed EBD home in Gillingham.
The group are seeking someone with a passion for excellence, who has a forward-thinking approach to help ensure the home’s success, and who is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for the children in the homes’ care. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the service and enjoy the rewards of its success.
The ideal candidate will be Ofsted registered and hold an NVQ level 3 in children’s and young people as a minimum. Our client are happy for Level 5 in leadership and management to be gained during and are happy to fund this. They would also be happy to speak with a Deputy Manager with lots of experience and level 3 who is ready to move up. The salary range is dependent on this experience and qualifications.
The professional duties of a Registered Manager shall include but are not limited to:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • At least 1 year in a role supervising and managing staff
  • NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young Peoples work force
  • LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or working towards.
  • Recent experience working either as a Registered Manager or as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager.
