Description

The Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse will be working within the DTC Ward & Ward Services and is the key supporting function and accountable to the DTC Ward Services Sister, working within the Surgical Division. You will oversee the delivery of a high quality, effective and compassionate service, which is the most important role within the organisation.
The Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse will be working within the DTC Ward & Ward Services and will be accountable to the DTC Ward Services Sister, working within the Surgical Division.
Experienced practitioner in Ambulatory Care/Surgical Services.
Day to day operational management of DTC Ward. To support the band 7 in the delivery of the service by the team or area that you are responsible for or have been delegated the responsibility
High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience and the patient journey
Monitoring key quality and performance indicators and service pressures and recommending /implementing actions to address them.
Ensuring necessary / appropriate equipment is available for management treatment needs of the patients covered within the ward area.
Reporting on workforce requirements for meeting service demand
Line management of staff working within the service area
Responsible for staff supervision, annual appraisal, management of attendance and performance, and identifying and facilitating staff training needs.
Supporting the band 7 in ensuring that clinical services are delivered to a high quality of care and that all compliance requirements such as CQC and contractual requirements are achieved.
