Job Description Due to continued growth of our global design center in Bangkok we are hiring a Deputy Structures Lead. The Deputy Structures Lead will be responsible for supporting the Structures Lead in managing the Structure team for the design production of bridges and port/marine structures mainly, as well as for overall management duties including commercial development, production delivery, quality control, invoicing, recruitment, training, etc. Project Management Support the Structures Lead in appointing and managing Project managers to deliver the design production of the Structure projects in terms of quality, schedule and budget Manage bridge and/or port projects including technical quality, planning, financial and contract aspects Prepare or review structural analysis and detailed design for various types of bridges, viaducts, ports and other civil structures Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project and site constraints and specifications Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System Commercial Prepare technical and commercial design offers (bids) to any Egis entity of the Business Line Transportation requesting their services, for bridge and/or port domains Manage the relationship with the client and other stakeholders, for the projects that he/she is responsible for Recruitment and competencies development Support the Structures Lead for the recruitment of Structural Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians Support the Structures Lead in ensuring that all employees have a competency management plan which will focus on continuously developing their skills Provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff Support for Structures Department management Support the Structures Lead for the operational management of the Structural Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians team Support the Structures Lead for the line management of the Structural Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians team Participate in the elaboration of the strategy of the Design Center Structures Department and the recruitment plan Coordinate with HR, IT and Finance teams for topics related to the Structures Department The scope of Works covers, but is not limited to: Bridge and viaduct structures (substructures and superstructures) Port structures Trackwork structures Other civil structures Qualifications Master’s Degree (prefered) in Civil / Structural Engineering 10-15 years' experience in design activities related to bridge or port/marine structures Appetency for bridge and structural design. Relevant experience in handling, leading and checking structural designs (concrete or steel). Relevant experience in project management Qualified professional able to work under limited supervision Strong knowledge of using international codes such as Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO Strong experience in using structural modelling software such as Sofistik, SCIA, Midas or similar Experience in working in an international context – Good level of English (speaking & writing) Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude Ability to analyse and communicate, outstanding writing skills and synthesis spirit Experience in BIM projects Experience in multi-cultural environment Management and leadership skills Team-oriented Business Line: Transportation Type of contract: Permanent contract Service Line: Structures Region: Asia Pacific Job Family: Technical Engineering
