Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager (RGN/RMN/RNLD) – Clinical Leadership Role
Location: Cheshire, SK8
Salary: £40,014 - £43,313 (DOE)
Shift Pattern: Full-Time, Days (37.5 hrs/week, Permanent)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Ward Manager (RGN/RMN/RNLD) to support the Ward Manager in delivering exceptional clinical leadership within our healthcare facility. This is a pivotal role ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient ward operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Ward Manager in overseeing clinical services and daily operations.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC revalidation and clinical standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, care planning, and evidence-based practice.
  • Foster a positive, patient-centered environment in line with CQC regulations.
  • Manage staffing, rotas, and continued professional development (CPD) initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records using electronic healthcare systems.

    Essential Requirements:

Active NMC PIN (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with 3+ years as Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse.
Trained Assessor/Supervisor with clinical supervision experience.
✅ Strong leadership skills and evidence of CPD.
✅ Proficient in clinical governance and care home/nursing home best practices.
✅ Excellent computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Desirable:

  • Experience in elderly care, nursing homes, or hospital wards.
  • Additional training in clinical leadership or specialist care.
