Global Capital Markets (GCM) serves as the nexus between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading. GCM comprises traditional market coverage and underwriting groups, as well as product groups focused on providing customised capital structure solutions for our clients. You work with clients on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions in a fast-paced environment. As part of the GCM business, the Derivative Solution Sales team focuses on private side risk management solutions, across interest rates, foreign exchange, and commodities. The Derivative Solution Sales team internally partners with the Investment Banking Division (IBD), Fixed Income Division, Securitized Product Group, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and Equity Capital Markets. Externally, the team covers the entire client spectrum, inclusive of financials, corporates, and private equity. This is a unique and exciting role, requiring a dynamic and motivated individual, as it incorporates all client types, no limit to the derivative product offered, all while managing the full breadth of internal client facing stakeholders that Morgan Stanley has to offer. The responsibilities of this role include: Develop derivative solutions for clients to manage market risk around bespoke financing, M&A situations, other events, and general risk management Run and execute transactions spanning across Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, and Commodities derivatives Act as primary and secondary client coverage, continuously sourcing and generate new opportunities Foster and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders Qualifications Proven experience in a relevant role (sales, structuring, trading), with a strong understanding of financial markets and derivatives Technical knowledge of derivatives and structured products, with a focus on foreign exchange and rates derivatives Relevant undergraduate degree from a reputable university ideally with a quantitative background in engineering, finance, economics or mathematics Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Highly motivated, with strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to excellence Strong team player and leader, able to work effectively in a team environment WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
