Description Job Title: Dermatology Medical Assistant (Laser Technician) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday (Day Shift) No weekends or holidays. Location: Lakeville, MN (with travel to other clinic locations as needed) Job Summary: Tareen Dermatology is hiring for a Dermatology Medical Assistant (Laser Technician) to provide high-quality patient care while assisting with medical excimer laser and narrowband UVB (nbUVB) phototherapy treatments for dermatology patients at our Lakeville clinic. This role works closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient care. Qualifications - Dermatology Medical Assistant (Laser Technician) Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology Strong computer, documentation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred: CNA or CMA certification 1-2 years of healthcare or clinical experience Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations Responsibilities Administer excimer laser and nbUVB phototherapy treatments Educate patients on laser and phototherapy procedures and expectations Maintain clean, organized, and properly sterilized treatment rooms Accurately document patient care, treatments, and communications Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations prior to treatment Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in a clinical setting, with occasional travel between clinic locations. This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for most of the workday. Frequent use of hands and arms for patient care, equipment handling, and documentation. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
