Specialty disciplines Include dermatology, internal medicine, surgery veterinary behaviour and radiography Our specialist service and equipment include: - Specialist level imaging equipment Brand new Highfield MRI Brand new 64 slice CT Radiography Ultrasonography BAER – hearing testing machine - On site radiographer - Video otoscopy equipment - State of the art anaesthetic equipment and specialist anaesthetists About the Role Our Dermatology Department is seeking experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurses to join our supportive specialist team. These roles are ideal for nurses who enjoy delivering high-quality patient care while working in a well-structured, calm, and non-emergency specialist environment. You will work closely with our dermatologists, assisting during consultations and procedures, and supporting patients and clients throughout their care journey. The department operates during regular weekday hours, allowing you to enjoy true work–life balance — when your shift ends, your time is your own. The dermatology nurse role also involves close communication and collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, veterinary behaviour and imaging to provide full patient care in one centre. We currently have: One full-time role (4 days per week) One part-time role (2 days per week) Working over both our Glen Waverley and Essendon Fields clinics. Some flexibility is available across our two locations depending on the living location of successful candidates. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Assisting with specialist dermatology consultations and patient discharges Intradermal allergy testing Assisting with ear flushes, biopsies, laser procedures, MRI/CT, and hearing tests Supporting dermatologists during procedures and consultations Providing professional, compassionate client communication Contributing to the smooth daily workflow of a busy, specialist department About You This role would suit a Veterinary Nurse who: Enjoys working in a structured, multi-specialist environment Is confident with hands-on nursing and patient care Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues Works well as part of a close, highly skilled team Values consistency, organisation, and a supportive workplace culture Willing to perform clinical tasks such as venipuncture, injections, suturing, supervised drug calculations, communication with referring veterinarians, record keeping Confident with animal handling in front of clients Thrives in a positive, people-focused environment and enjoys having a laugh at work Why Join MVSC?
