Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a degree in Architecture / Architectural Technology / Design
  • Minimum 3-year experience in architecture or a design office preferred
  • Experience with Official Plan Amendment, Zoning, and SPA processes would be an asset
  • Strong creative and visualization skills
  • Strong Technical drawing skills
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe CS, and SketchUP
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards and the Long-Term Care Home Design Manual is an asset
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities
  • Conducting research on specific sites and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impact.
  • Preparing plans for early feasibility studies
  • Developing and adjusting test fits including 2D drawings and 3D renderings
  • Developing and analyzing data pertaining to Official Plan Amendment, Zoning, and SPA processes in various municipalities
  • Working with design team to prepare room templates and space allocation tables
  • Participating in review of design documentation
  • Performing some administrative tasks as required including but not limited to scheduling, document management, filing, and meeting preparation and documentation.
