YOUR PURPOSE:
The Design and Engineering Practitioners Professional Indemnity (DEP PI) Underwriting Manager is responsible for the development, execution, and financial performance of the DEP product. This role involves building the product and executing strategies, managing an underwriting team, and driving profitable growth within the DEP PI market. The position requires close collaboration with various internal teams and external vendors to ensure the product is competitive, profitable, and meets market needs.
This role involves two distinct phases: Phase 1 focuses on building the product and channel from the ground up, including activities such as influencing the strategy, target market, appetite and coverage, working with pricing to build the algorithm, collaborating with the project squad (including technology build), driving promotional efforts, and recruiting underwriters. Phase 2 transitions to managing and scaling the product post-launch, overseeing underwriters, and driving ongoing product management and growth.
