JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled Design and Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system design, documentation, and integration of CMETS’s offered brands such as ABB, Honeywell, and other OEMs as per customer requirements. Additionally, this role involves supporting sales & operations, handling technical support, and contributing to business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Education: BE/ B.tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in design, estimation, or technical sales within the automation or control systems industry is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC/SCADA/HMI/RTU programming, system design, and integration.
  • Software Skills: Hands-on experience with engineering design tools and software.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in all design, documentation, and system integration activities related to CMETS’s offered brands.
  • Develop PLC/SCADA/HMI/RTU programming, HMI graphics, and system designs as per customer needs.
  • Assist in project kick-offs and provide necessary engineering support.
  • Ensure system compliance with required standards and best practices.
  • Regularly update the Project Manager on project/service status.
  • Support project execution and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Conduct site visits for system start-up, integration, and training services.
  • Prepare and provide quotations, proposals, and presentations for assigned products.
  • Conduct product launches, sales promotions, and marketing activities.
  • Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and applications.
  • Handle internal and external technical support related to product selection, application, installation, etc.
  • Actively communicate with customers, partners, and internal teams via phone and email.
  • Promote CMETS’s solutions and engage in activities to increase market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities and follow up on tenders and proposals.
  • Provide regular updates to management on project, tender, and proposal status.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure goods meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department for payment follow-ups on a case-by-case basis.
