WE ARE HIRING: DESIGN AND ESTIMATION ENGINEER (FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS)

Safety World Group, a leader in MEP installations and fire protection since 1993, is searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Design and Estimation Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in fire safety systems who can contribute to the successful execution of our projects across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in the design and estimation of fire protection systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defense requirements, and related building codes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software like HASS.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member

Responsibilities
  • Design and estimate various fire protection systems, including firefighting, fire alarm, voice evacuation, and emergency lighting (STD, Monitoring & CBS) for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Perform precise hydraulic calculations for fire pumps to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the UAE Fire Code, NFPA standards, and other relevant codes in all designs.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and accurate cost estimates for project bids.
  • Conduct site visits to gather project requirements and provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from vendors and contractors.
  • Stay current on the latest fire protection technologies and industry best practices.
  • Support project coordination, including scheduling and budgeting, to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales team for client meetings and presentations.
