Job Title: Design and Technology Technician
Salary: Level 4, scp 4-7 £21,249 (actual) per annum
Hours of work: Full time 37 hours. Term Time only.
SKILLS:
· IT Literacy and confident with technology.
· Good communication skills.
· Good organisational skills.
· Familiarity with standard computing packages such as Microsoft Office.
· Experience in using a range of tools

You will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring a safe and organised learning environment. This is based primarily in the DT, Art and Food departments, but includes equipment in PE
Key Duties & Accountabilities:
· Daily checks of workshops/classrooms, completing a checklist as required;
· Liaise with external staff, when required, to ensure correct maintenance of machines/rooms;
· Clean and maintain machines daily;
· Complete audit of tools/equipment weekly;
· Prepare materials/ingredients ready to use in lessons daily;
· Check and maintain stock as required;
· Liaise with subject leader to support correct ordering of stock
· Provide classroom support for practical lessons as required/directed;
· Provide administrative support, if needed
· Attend all statutory training as required;
· Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met;
· Adhere to risk assessments on machines, ensuring that machines are locked when not in use.
· Provide first aid support (following training);
· Support across other Academy departments as required;
· Any other duty as directed by Subject Leader or Senior Leadership team member.
