As a Design & Construction Intern with Opry Entertainment Group (OEG), you'll engage in experiential learning with capital construction projects that preserve and enhance our iconic venues. You'll gain hands-on experience with the organization and updating of construction documents, project files, and reports as well as attend site visits and weekly coordination meetings with outside contractors, engineers, and consultants. As the ideal candidate, you bring strong organizational skills and an interest in learning how iconic entertainment venues balance preservation with innovation to remain premier destinations.   Our 12-week paid internship program offers current students hands-on experience in corporate and operations functions across our Nashville market. The program begins Monday, May 18th and will conclude Friday, August 7th. Interns will work up to 40 hours per week in office or venue settings.   Applications must be received by Monday, March 2nd to be considered. Please do not call to inquire about your application status.   Job Responsibilities • Provide administrative support to the Design and Construction team. • Communicate and coordinate with outside contractors, engineers, and consultants. • Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and reports. • Provide assistance in the field on capital projects working directly with the contractors and subcontractors. • Interact and coordinate specific assignments with inter-company departments at the corporate level. • Gain exposure to corporate operations related to managing construction projects that support various operating divisions of OEG including the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Ole Reds, Category 10s, ACL Live, The W Hotel Austin, multiple theaters, etc. • Provide administrative support with electronic filing of documents. • Attend project meetings to learn about coordination efforts on capital projects. • Perform other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an expectation of this job.   Qualifications Education • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program studying Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field • 1+ years’ completed coursework in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field Experience • 1+ years' relevant experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Able to take initiative on individual tasks while working collaboratively with a team • Positive, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to think on your feet and handle new challenges • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
