Role description: Arcadis is searching for an individual to join our Edmonton architectural design controls team. The position of Design Consultant – Architectural Controls will include working on design approvals for a broad range of projects and administering them on our Archcontrol.com web platform as well as other platforms such as LotWorks. Based in Edmonton, this is a contract as-needed partial hours position that offers flexibility within a hybrid work environment. Role accountabilities: · Creation of Design Guidelines including maps, and house style graphics. · Reviewing of house applications in relation to the guidelines and standards of the development within a web-based platform. · Correspondence with builders and some homeowners. · Physical site inspections on the exterior of homes (homes and landscapes). · Prepare inspection reports. · Get involved in other projects in the office on an as-required basis Qualifications & Experience: · Diploma in Architectural Technology or Landscape Architectural Technology or a related discipline – related industry experience would be considered · Strong interest in house design and land development · Experience with house exterior design would be an asset · Good design sense with creative problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail · Strong computer skills in MS office, Adobe, etc. and web-based applications – proficiency in CAD is an asset, but not essential · Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills and interest in dealing with a diverse range of clients, including homebuilders and homeowners · Good organizational and time management skills Why Arcadis? The salary range for this position is $27-33 per hour. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
