SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team at DCI, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for creating complex solid models for CAD drawings and schematics that support our manufacturing processes. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products.

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical College degree or equivalent experience in CAD, drafting, and/or design technology required.
• 5 years design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and capable of multi-tasking.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to project a positive and professional image to coworkers, employees, vendors, established and prospective customers.
• Strong computer and office technology skills, including but not limited to: Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Prepares CAD drawings of high-quality covering parts, components, and assemblies to be manufactured by DCI. Concentrates on complex standard products and equipment.
• Develops a total job packet including applicable drawings, bill of material, and plasma files for production.
• Applies established engineering/drafting standards to all prints and related materials.
• Coordinates details of assigned jobs with shop and other personnel.
• Completes drawings based on sketches, specifications, and engineering input provided by project engineers.
• Has input on design/process changes to improve design department and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.
