We have an exciting opportunity to join our client’s expanding team in Essex, as a Design Engineer DTO
4 month contract. Hybrid – 4 days on site in Essex – 1 day WFH

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Coordinate and support Feasibility and Design Process
· Design Feasibility Status, Hard points plan and Executive Summary
· Coordinate and support benchmark for technical solutions applicable to the attributed project
· In charge of the CAD design and development of highly complex components as single part and parts assembly with interdependent functionalities
· Coordinate and support technical communication with Design and all non-Design Departments
· Check incoming data from internal and external suppliers for compliance
· Ensure feasibility and appropriate dimensioning of the developed CAD data (e.g., strength, rigidity, cross-sections, centers of gravity, Masses, moments of inertia)
· Support the internal and constant process improvement in terms of CAD data timing and quality delivery
· Embrace cross-project development teams
· Coordinate and support the documentation and archives of the created CAD data
· Develop product presentations relative to the developed CAD data

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive exterior or interior design engineering
· Experience in a similar role
· Design feasibility and CAD engineering
· Design Understanding
· Curious mind / Innovation mindset
· Collaborative Mindset both inside and outside Design
· Organisational skills
· Team-oriented working

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field
