About the role In this role, you will undertake engineering investigations and design, along with associated administrative functions, while actively contributing as a positive and collaborative team member. You will produce civil engineering designs and specifications that comply with current standards and best practice, are accurate and are innovative in concept, and are cost effective to deliver and construct. You will join a multidisciplinary team of civil engineers and surveyors and have the opportunity to design and contribute to a range of civil infrastructure projects that will be delivered for the benefit of our community. Key responsibilities include: * Prepare design plans and documentation for construction of road related civil infrastructure. * Undertake investigations into various infrastructure, drainage, and traffic related issues, and develop practical engineering solutions. * Prepare technical reports and correspondence, and liaise with internal stakeholders, funding bodies, and statutory authorities. * Contribute to the development of an efficient, effective, and customer focused team through collaboration and knowledge sharing. About you To be successful in this role you will have a Tertiary Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering or Construction Management and/or relevant experience. Drafting skills including use of engineering software Civil3D and Civil Site Design or similar. Essential Experience: * Demonstrated experience in road and drainage design using current principles and standards. * Demonstrated experience and skills using engineering software Civil 3D and Civil Site Design or similar. * Demonstrated experience in Traffic Engineering Design and Engineering investigation work. * Proficient computer skills utilising the Microsoft Suite of software specifically Word and Excel. * Demonstrates ability to plan own time as well as assist others in time management on a regular basis to meet agreed deadlines of the unit.
