A dynamic and growing engineering team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join their structural design practice in Orlando or Sarasota. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a strong foundation in structural engineering while working on diverse and impactful projects. From commercial and manufacturing buildings to data centers, adaptive reuse, and public sector facilities — you’ll gain hands-on experience and direct client interaction in a supportive and mentorship-focused environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 0–2 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • EIT certification preferred or actively in progress.
  • Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing structures and design structural systems for a variety of building types.
  • Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers, designers, and drafting technicians throughout the design process.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Assist in client engagement and help cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Perform engineering calculations following design codes and project requirements.
  • Use industry-standard software such as TEKLA Structural Designer, RAM Structural System, ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and RISA.
  • Create and review structural documents, drawings, and submittals.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project quality and client satisfaction.
