SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to strengthen our team, based in Stockholm. In this role you would be supporting the design of our fire suppression systems, performing hydraulic calculations, also participating in site surveys and communicating with our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Higher education suitable for the task (Design, CAD, Mechanical, Building Services, Civil, Construction or Electrical Engineering)
  • Fluent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D and Revit 3D design software
  • Strong calculation and costing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team, analytical skills and attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills

Although not necessary, it would be a great advantage:

  • Experience with HVAC, fire protection system/sprinkler design, involvement with plumbing/piping
  • Knowledge/practical experience with Hydraulic systems or Electricity/Electrical products
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the role of Design Engineer, you focus on CAD to design and construct layout solutions of Marioff’s sprinkler systems and associated detection systems. You are already involved in the sales phase together with the responsible salespeople by acting as an expert regarding design of the product. After that, you are responsible for designing solutions and layouts in AutoCAD and Revit as well as Marioff’s internal tools. You are involved throughout the project until the project is completed at the customer’s premises. Marioff works on several different projects in real estate and in the industrial sector.
You will work closely with other design engineers and project managers, you would report directly to the Operations Manager, who’s based in the office in Kista. You will also work with fitters and service technicians who will work with the systems you design. The positioninvolves some travel around Sweden.
