Description
Design Engineer will report to the Design Office Manager. Duties will primarily be the effective delivery of 3D design and 2D drawing submission, problem solving and any other tasks as directed by the Design Office Manager. What you'll be doing: Produce 3D models and supporting 2D drawings including P&IDs and BOM. Ensure drawings are compliant with company / industry processes and standards. Monitor (and uphold) the standards of all work produced within the department. Ensure weld detail / procedures are present (and correct) on company drawings. Support the compiling of job packets, ensuring all relevant documentation is present and correct. Attend design and project kick off meetings when required. Management of adherence to company procedures, with particular emphasis in regard to the company health & safety policies. Maintenance of company procedures and documentation. Effective updating and maintenance of any appropriate departmental records (if required). Who we are looking for: Mechanical Engineering/Design degree or other relevant certification. Demonstratable track record of relevant personal professional development Previous experience working in a design role for an OEM or packager of equipment is preferred. Previous experience working in the UK municipal water sector is preferred. Previous experience producing and reading technical drawings is essential. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for fabricated and skid mounted products is preferred. Previous experience producing general arrangement drawings and drawings for manufacture including BOMs is essential..
