Description Location: San Ramon Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary: ENGEO is seeking a passionate Civil Design Engineer to join our team and tackle dynamic, technically challenging projects. Working alongside our industry-leading mentors, you will design and plan coastal revetment structures, earth retaining systems, landslide and slope repairs, and waterway restoration projects. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare construction plans, design calculations, and detailed cost and quantity estimates for coastal, riparian, and civil infrastructure projects. Develop construction-level drawings, specifications, and technical exhibits. Assist with written reports and key project deliverables, such as technical memos, reports, proposals, and permit applications. Actively participate in field investigations, including the logging of soil borings and the oversight of geotechnical drilling operations. Provide on-site construction observation and support to ensure projects are executed in accordance with design specifications and safety standards. Assist with environmental site assessments, including groundwater and soil sampling and site characterization. Work daily alongside ENGEO’s geotechnical engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and GIS/AutoCAD specialists to deliver integrated solutions. Effectively communicate with diverse project stakeholders, including private clients, subcontractors, and public regulatory agencies. Actively participate in mentorship opportunities and internal training to expand your technical and project management skill sets. Perform other duties as needed. Requirements Required/Minimum Qualifications B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering 1 to 5 years of related work experience (early to mid-career) Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Team player who enjoys problem-solving and fast-paced environments Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Driven to go above and beyond in client service Entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitude Desire to continually learn and grow Preferred/Additional Qualifications EIT or licensed PE in the state of California Experience with project management and consulting Familiar with the construction and infrastructure industry and project development phases Benefits: Our most important asset is our employees.
