Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, design engineering or comparable
Alternatively: state-certified mechanical engineering technician with relevant experience
At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in demanding special-purpose machine construction
Expert knowledge in Solid Edge or a comparable 3D CAD system
Deep understanding of PDM/PLM processes and experience with ERP systems
Sound knowledge of technical calculations, e.g., design of drives, guides and strength calculations.
Awareness of Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing
Excellent knowledge of ISO GPS systems, geometric product specifications, and form and position tolerances, e.g., DIN EN ISO 1101.

Development and design of sophisticated special-purpose machines and customer-specific machine components
Creation and detailing of 3D designs and manufacturing-ready drawings using Solid Edge or comparable CAD systems
Design and dimensioning of drives, guides and other machine components including technical calculations
Development of cost-effective and manufacturable designs, taking into account design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturing principles.
Application of ISO-GPS, geometric product specifications as well as form and position tolerances and maintenance of product data in PDM/PLM systems
